Take the Shot That Counts
McLean's Flu Shot Campaign
Playing basketball to prevent the flu? That's what the McLean staff did on November 4th to kick off the annual flu shot drive. McLean is committed to protecting its residents, staff and visitors with a goal to immunize at last 85% of its workforce nearly doubling the norm for nursing homes. This goal includes the many staff working in the community in McLean Home Care and Hospice in addition to the staff in the Health Center in Outpatient Rehab, Adult Day Care, Post Acute care and long term care. With the inspiration and leadership of Denise Yoreo, Infection Control Nurse, McLean staff, residents and visitors shot hoops for prizes including tickets to a UCONN game and husky blankets. McLean encourages all visitors to have their flu shots to help us keep our residents well.
